Damascus : The Iran-Palestine Public Contact Committee in a statement on Thursday underlined importance of high turn out in the International Qods Day rallies on October 5.
The statement, a copy of which was made available to IRNA Damascus bureau on Thursday, said the rallies on the day are of high importance with regards to the big victory of the Lebanese Hizbollah over the Zionist regime of Israel last year.
The protest rallies are of double importance regarding the growing conspiracies of the US and Zionist regime targeting countries which defend rights of the oppressed Palestinian people, the statement read.
The statement also referred to the threats and pressures exerted on the Islamic Republic of Iran, noting that Tehran is under growing pressure due to its peaceful nuclear program because westerners think he country is an affront to illegitimate regime of Israel and the world atomic weapons.
Pointing to the aggressive policies of the US and the Zionist state in sponsoring the so-called Middle East Conference to harm Palestine’s lofty objective, it added that given the circumstances, all Muslims and freedom-seekers should gloriously participate at the protest rallies on the International Qods Day.
Formation of the committee is a firm response to all conspiracies which aim to divide Muslims.
