Bihar govt. to open Dalit Muslim Community (DMC) maktabs

Patna: Accepting the demand to open Dalit Muslim Community (DMC) maktabs, the state government has ordered all district officials concerned to open DMC maktabs in all villages.

The demand was made by Ghulam Sawar Himayati Front on the occasion of Urdu Day on 10th January. Explaining the structure of the governing body of these maktabs, Dr Abrar Ali, deputy convenor of the Front, said five residents of the village wherein it will be opened and three officials of School Service Commission will be members of the maktab’s governing body and it will run in their supervision.

Giving details, he said those who have passed matriculation and are above 18 will be appointed as its teacher and will get proper salary from the government. A four-member committee will be constituted in Patna and will keep close vigil on operations of all DMC maktabs.

Dr Abrar Ali appealed to interested candidates for teachers to contact their district head quarters for details regarding appointments. He asked them not to pay any amount to anyone as donation. He thanked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for accepting the Front’s demands.
