Oil Prices Fall

London : The September contracts for the oil brands Brent (Europe) and West Texas Intermediate (US) opened Friday at lower prices.

Brent opened Friday at $116,39 and lost $0.094 cents with respect to the closing numbers Thursday while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) lost $1,45 and opened at $118,58 the barrel.

The basket of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries also lost $0,044 cents, with the barrel set at $115,08 Thursday.

The experts sustain that oil prices fell over supply worries and concerns that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in Turkey, on fire after an explosion, may be operational again.

The local Energy Ministry says the fire may be controlled between Friday and Saturday.
