New Delhi : Strongly condemning the move to preserve the Danish cartoons derogatory to Prophet Muhammad, Jamiat Ulama-e Hind has termed it provocative. These cartoons had caused worldwide protests when they first appeared in newspapers two years ago. Jamiat general secretary Maulana Mahmood Madani said the move shows that the supporters of the cartoons have become morally bankrupt. He said such anti-Islam efforts are well-calculated. They are meant to divert the attention of the Western society from its basic problems. Maulana Madani demanded the Indian government to block the Websites whose contents are provocative and derogatory to Islam and Prophet Muhammad.
