The media and religious leaders admit that Faluha, Al Anbar, 31 miles west of Baghdad, has been target of systematic joint operations by local and US troops that left many dead and wounded among the civilian population.

Military sources said the curfew was approved a day before the death of four policemen and eight people in twin blasts.

Despite the special measures and anti-rebel drives, insecurity persists through out Iraq, like the three deaths and ten wounded left by a hand grenade Monday in Alawi, downtown Baghdad.
