New Delhi: The mysterious Indian Mujahideen group which claimed responsibility for Ahmedabad serial bombings has sent an e-mail to some TV channels in which Maulana Mahmood Madani, MP and top leader of JUH, has been threatened.
Taking the e-mail threat seriously, the government has provided Maulana Mahmood Madani with 8-9 armed security men, Niaz Ahmed Farooqui, secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, told TwoCircles.net on phone.
Farooqui said the e-mail threat was sent to some TV channels in which Maulana Mahmood Madani, MP and top leader of JUH, has been threatened. He could not elaborate on the type of threat.
According to another report, Maulana Arshad Madani, former JUH president, has also been threatened in that e-mail.
This is the second time that unknown terrorist organization has threatened frontline religious leaders in the country. After Jaipur bombings in May this year some of the top religious leaders were threatened for opposing their “jihad” in a similar e-mail.
Those who were threatened then included Maulana Mahmood Madani, Maulana Arshad Madani, Asghar Mehndi, Maulana Jalaluddin Umari, president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind and Zakir Naik.
A part of the e-mail threat sent after Jaipur bombings read: “O ulema-e-kuffr will you still continue to oppose the mujahideens of Islam after getting such a clear stand of Islam on jihad. If you do continue then you know Allah does not give guidance to the wrong doers and you will be considered as MURTED.”
Mentioning name of religious leaders it read: “O ulema-e-satan, the truth is exposed now, the ummah is no more going to follow you blindly in spite of your big conferences and gathering of leaders of different school of thought (Mehmood Madni, Arshad Madni, Asgar Mahndi, Jalaluddin Umri, Khalid Firngi, Zakir Naik) against the mujahideen of Islam.”
