Lucknow: The women reservation bill will not be acceptable if separate quota is not fixed for Muslims and backward classes, said former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav.
Samajwadi Party chief said if the government attempted to present any such bill forcibly, his party will oppose the move vehemently. He said he has informed the union government about his party’s stance and if the government does not agree to it, he will launch a powerful movement.
He said that his party will hold rallies of Muslims and backward classes in Delhi and Lucknow and they will be told that the present union government is anti-Muslim and anti-backward classes.
