The UP government is completing 100 days soon and incidents of riots, conflicts, lynching and cow-terrorism have increased day by day. But what has come as a surprise is that the Governor of Uttar Pradesh Ram Naik has not made any comments or shown concerns over the decaying law and order situation in the state.
Referring to the same, Hisamul Islam Siddiqui, editor of ‘Jadeed Markaz’, the first Urdu newspaper published in the Devnagri script, has written a letter to Ram Naik on his silence over the violent incidents happening the state. Written in a sarcastic yet critical way, Hisamul Siddiqui has asked UP Governor of his ‘wellbeing’, as no statement from Naik has been noticed in the recent past.
The letter says, “[During Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi government] It always felt that someone from the Raj Bhawan is keeping hard eye on the government.” Siddiqui was referring to the time when Ram Naik used to pass remarks on the working of the then state government.
The letter further reads, “Since the month of March, any of your statement has not passed through my eyes, so I got worried for you that everything is fine with your health.”
Hisamul further said, “If you are not able to read newspapers due to your health or other issues, let me tell you that state is peaceful. Indeed incidents of rape, killing and riots have increased but those are not the matter of importance.”
“State’s chief minister has already said that it may take an year to regulate the state’s law and order…….There is no need to worry about the recent condition,” said Hisamul in the letter.
‘Markaz’ editor has also prayed for the well being of the governor in the holy month of Ramadan. Jadeed Markaz is run from Khurram Nagar of Lucknow and was launched by Hisamul Islam Siddiqui and Saehba Hisam Siddiqui.
