Tehran : President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with visiting Omani foreign minister, by referring to the necessity of establishing strong and long-term ties among regional countries, said condition is appropriate to expand cooperation between these countries.
Ahmadinejad in meeting with Yousuf Bin Al-Alawi Bin Abdullah here on Saturday afternoon said the two countries have good cooperation in bilateral and regional issues and added, “I hope that the cooperation will lead to fruitful results.”
The president said the two countries’ intention to develop bilateral relations is very strong adding, “Tehran has no limitation to expansion of cooperation and ties with Muscat.”
He continued agreements between the two countries should be finalized promptly in different fields.
Bin al-Alawi felicitated the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir to the president and said, “Iranian president’s proposals to Doha meeting belongs to all citizens and nations of the region and must be taken into consideration.”
Referring to the common viewpoints between Tehran and Muscat in different issues, the Omani senior official said, “Bilateral agreements should be executed and cooperation between Iran and Oman should expand more and more.”
