Raipur: A 34-year-old man died due to a cardiac arrest during a police recruitment rally in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh, police said Monday.
Vijay Kumar from Jashpur district collapsed Sunday soon after he finished a run organised by the police department in Ambikapur town, 350 km from here. The run was organised for constable recruitment.
“The man collapsed soon after he completed a 1.5 km run. We took him to the district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead,” Arvind Kujur, additional superintendent of police, told IANS.
The death was caused due to a heart attack, he said.
