14 Hospitals to take care of pilgrims in Makkah and holy sites

Makkah : Fourteen hospitals — totaling up to 2,579 beds – in Makkah and holy sites have been geared up to offer medical services to pilgrims, Director of Health Affairs in Makkah Dr Khalid Qassim Al-Sumairi told the Saudi Gazette.

Of these 14 hospitals, Seven are in Makkah, Four in Mina and Three in Arafat.

Outlining the other health care facilities available to pilgrims, Al-Sumairi said five special centers have been opened to treat acute kidney cases, perform dental surgery, and to treat cases of chemical poisoning.

The pilgrims can attend any of the 34 clinics in Makkah. The Holy Mosque in Makkah has five dispensaries open round-the-clock.
