I have never said RSS is involved in the November 2008 Mumbai terror attack. I just expressed my doubt. After all, against which people slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare was investigating in connection with the Malegaon September 2008 blasts, and who are these people that Karkare was able to nab in this case, asks Aziz Burney, Group Editor, Rashtriya Sahara, while talking to Mumtaz Alam Falahi of TwoCircles.net on a lawsuit filed against him for his stand on 26/11 terror attack. I never said Pakistan is not involved in the attack, he adds.
A lawsuit has been filed against Aziz Burney in Navi Mumbai Sessions Court, for publishing ‘unsubstantiated, false, derogatory and malicious reports’ in Roznama Rashtriya Sahara about 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Adv. Prashant Maggu for his client V.V. Joshi filed the same in court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Navi Mumbai on August 7 under IPC Sections of 121,108,107,117,124(A),153(A),153(B),505(2) and 506. The lawsuit says that after 26/11 Mumbai Terror attack Roznama Rashtriya Sahara has been consistently publishing the reports of RSS involvement in the attack. Also the publication is contradicting the claims made by External Affairs Ministry as well as Union Home Ministry and Mumbai Police regarding Pakistani involvement in the attack, says the lawsuit – Editor
A lawsuit has been filed against you in Navi Mumbai Sessions Court for your writings in Roznama Rashtriya Sahara wherein you have blamed RSS for the November 2008 Mumbai terror attack. Your stand on the attack was very different from that of Home Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Mumbai Police.
I have no official information about any such lawsuit. None has approached me, nor have I received any summons. As for RSS involvement in the Mumbai terror attack, I have not directly accused them, I have just expressed my doubt on their involvement. That is just my thinking. After all, against which people slain ATS chief Hemant Karkare was investigating in connection with the Malegaon September 2008 blasts. Who are these people that Karkare was able to nab in this case. I am still of the view that that angle should be given attention to as far as probe into the Mumbai terror attack is concerned.
If my views are so annoying for RSS then why L K Advani invited me to speak in a program three days ago in New Delhi where the Urdu translation of his book “My Life My Country” was released. If my views are so disturbing for the Government of India then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh should not have taken me on his trip to France and Egypt recently.
Now that lone surviving accused of Mumbai terror attack Ajmal Amir Kasab has pleaded guilty and Pakistan has accepted some of the terror groups working from its soil are involved in the attack, would you change your view that locals as well as some foreign intelligence agencies also could be involved in the attack?
I don’t think there is any need to change my views. I have never said anything in this connection that needs to be changed. As for admission of Kasab, I am not giving much credence to it as he has only yesterday indicated to change his statement.
How can a person think that only 10 persons from a foreign country will come and continue a sort of war against us for full 61 hours? How can it be that only 10 persons will take on our armed forces for about three days? I have never said Pakistan terrorists are not involved in the attack. All 10 could be Pakistani but none other than them was involved in the attack is unbelievable.
Do you think some extremist groups from either Hindu or Muslim community from within India could be involved in the attack?
What was Hemant Karkare investigating? He has already answered this question in his life.
Do you think no Muslim group or individual from within India could be involved in any terror attack in the country?
This cannot be said, neither for Hindu or Muslim nor any other religious community. Terrorist is a terrorist. He has nothing to do with religion.
Do you think there is one ideology, one brain behind all the terrorist attacks in the last 10 years in India, and what is their purpose?
I have told and written several times that until few years back any major incident, not only in India but in any part of the world, was attributed to CIA. But now it has gone in the background, no one talks about the agency. Isn’t it possible that big powers who want to rule small and weak countries but cannot do so directly have waged proxy war and created a sort of civil wars in such countries to achieve their purpose. India could be one of such victims.
If the Mumbai court proceeds on the lawsuit, how will you defend your views?
My views are an open book. They are open to all. I have expressed my views several times. There is no need to defend them. When court will ask me to respond to the lawsuit I will offer my answer. But so far I have not received any such notice.
