Vartha Bharathi awarded by Transparency International

Bangalore: Mangalore based daily Kannada newspaper Vartha Bharathi was awarded by Karnataka branch of Transparency International for its quality journalism.

Launched in 2003 and edited by Abdussalam Puthige, it is the only Muslim owned newspaper in Kannada language. This newspaper give voice to all marginalized sections of the society and in few years has become the fastest growing newspaper of Karnataka.
