Patna: The Bombay High Court today issued notice to the central and state government on a petition seeking high-level probe into the killing of Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare and two other higher police officers during the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai in 2008.

Veteran socialist and three-time MLA from Madhepura in Bihar, Radhakant Yadav, had approached the High Court on August 6. The court heard his petition today and issued notice to the governments asking them to reply within four weeks to the petitioner’s demand for a competent authority into the killing.
Talking to TCN soon after the court notice, Radhakant Yadav said he urged the court to order a probe by a competent authority like CBI or any other agency that the court thinks fit for the job. He reiterated his point that the killing of Karkare has something more than meets the eye.
Karkare had become an eyesore for Hindutva terrorists and terror groups whose role in some terror bombings in the country he was exposing. Weeks before the Mumbai attack he had exposed the hand of Hindutva terrorists in the 2008 Malegaon blast and had arrested Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Col Purohit and others. He was threatened for the probe and during the Mumbai attack by Pakistani terrorists he was killed in mysterious circumstances.
Impressed by the book “Who Killed Karkare? – The real face of terrorism in India”, written by former Inspector General of Police SM Mushrif, a 70-something Lohiaite, Yadav earlier this year approached the Supreme Court with a PIL seeking constitution of an independent fact-finding committee, headed by a sitting or a retired judge of the Supreme Court, to look into the events before Karkare’s killing. He had submitted that there was an abject failure of the state in protecting the citizens of the country from terrorists, including the death of officers like ATS chief Karkare. He had also contended that the entire Mumbai terror attack should not be seen as single episode but two different attacks.
A bench of Justice B. Sudershan Reddy and Justice Surinder Singh Nijjar had rejected Yadav’s PIL on May 12 but gave him the liberty to move the high court.

Yes a high level probe should be held so that the real truth can come out.the whole episode of hemant karkare's killing raises many doubts in the minds of common people.
Hemant karkare was a dedicated and honest police officer,he helped unmasked hindutva terrorism.

There is no wonder in the news and the Indian people who can understand the truth know very well Congress is agaisnt the justice. They killed Karkare because, the truth will come out, if Karkare continueus his duty. Congress leaders and ministers are the real protesters of Hindutva Terrorists. Col Purohit got RDX from Indian Army and Antony the minister never orders Court Martial. Former Home Minister conducted Batla fake encounter and killed a few Muslim Students. His intention was very clear. Muslim students should vacate Universities and Colleges and they should pull the Rickshaws. They are co-operating the Hidutva Terrorists and Sangh Parivar in the darkness. Beware! Congress is the most dangerous to our country and the nation. It has no difference with BJP. I am a proud Indian. Is that disclosure is enough for you, my dear true hindu? I am living in India and reading and watching the current issues. I will say that Muslims are being targeted by the Congress Govt with all the proves and evidences. It is just not Congress, but Communists and BJP also doing the same. Why? India is a democracy. Recently in Kerala one Madani is arrested. Court acquitted him after NINE years. Again that fellow who is under watch from the Police is again taken to Police custody. Why? It will satisfy the Majority. Then? Those will get majority votes. Then they will RULE. Then they can make TRILLIONS. It is just simple, true HINDU. A TRUE HINDU should oppose such blood suckers and such bloody rulers and politicians. He or she should be ready for a DHARMAYUDH. Investigations to start on MOTIVE and BENEFIT
In any INVESTIGATION - "motive" and "benefit" are starting points; and as "An Observer" I clearly see these are TOTALLY SIDELINED.
ENOUGH TAKING COVER by EVADING to ANSWER LOGICAL and THOUGHT-PROVOKING QUESTIONS by painting with a WIDE-BRUSH saying: "conspiracy theories", "internal security", "external terrorists", etc. etc. "abusing" PATRIOTIC JARGON, creating internal divisions.
Dossier prepared by Indian Investigators FOCUS only on Pakistani, LeT, and external involvement, while the "internal terrorist" angle is "completely silent".
Any IMPARTIAL INVESTIGATOR "cannot sideline" MOTIVE and BENEFIT - vital STARTING POINTS in any INVESTIGATION !
We have heard about MUCH-HYPED "external" involvement - it's time to FOCUS on "internal angle" - rather than BRUSHING it UNDER CARPET.
"An Indian" has rightly raised a series of UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, under title: It's NOT a SINGLE but TWO DIFFERENT ATTACKS ! And I'm sure there are many other questions, mentioned in PIL and those mentioned in the book written by S.M. Mushrif - the former IGP of Mumbai, who was on-duty at time of attacks.
Questioning the retired IGP motive - does not answer, but those questions need some serious SOUL-SEARCHING - as the IGP was himself may have been under pressure from various angles; just like R.B. Sreekumar of Gujarat Police during Godhra Riots.

Widows of slain officers - Mrs. Kavita Karkare, Mrs. Vinita Kamte have met STIFF RESISTANCE from Mumbai Police Cadre - as there are many things that do not ADD UP.
Many questions, from GENERAL PUBLIC remained unanswered - and public have interest in knowing the reason for, COLOSSAL LOSS of security failure.
It is worth mentioning - there is MONTHS OF ADVANCE INTELLIGENCE WARNINGS of an IMPENDING TERRORIST ATTACK, and what measures IF ANY have been taken to prevent it?
Why was there a FAILURE of SECURITY and TIMELY RESPONSE ?
Mumbai-police WALKIE-TALKIE or RADIO COMMUNICATION records to be made public !
Why was there a delay in sending SUPPORT-TEAM when Hemant Karkare had called Mumbai Police for immediate SUPPORT-TEAM at Kama Hospital ?
Cell-Phone conversation(s) of Hemant Karkare to be made public !
Kasab and his team-mates HAD no INTEREST in TARGETING or ELIMINATING "police officials".
Terrorist(s) had NO INTEREST in ENSURING their VICTIM(s) were in-fact dead ?
Who knew Hemant Karkare's SOFT SPOT, when he was wearing a BULLET-PROOF JACKET ?
Where is the DEFECTIVE BULLET-PROOF JACKET that Hemant Karkare was wearing - an IMPORTANT PIECE of JIGSAW PUZZLE or EVIDENCE ?
Who were the MARATHI-SPEAKING terrorists at Kama Hospital, and where did they disappear ?
Who diverted (mis-guided) Karkare and his team towards Kama Hospital, while the main attacks were at CST and Taj Mahal Hotel ?
Suspicious activities reported by neighbours of Chabad House and hoarding of meat, liquor, and food items purchased and stored at Chabad House needs to be re-investigated !
I'm sure there many many many questions, that were brushed aside UNDER COVER of SECRECY - and public has interest in knowing LOGICAL and ACCEPTABLE ANSWERS !!!

Since ATS-Mumbai Chief has been blamed as "desh-drohi" weeks and months before Mumbai 26/11 attacks, a Mumbai-bandh had been called to protest against Hemant Karkare's investigation, he was given a death warning to retrack (OR go slow) in his investigations into Malegaon and other Hindutva Terrorists involvement - reinvestigation by an independent organization is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE, URGENT, and IMPERATIVE.
