Pathans' family told to comply with court orders

By IANS,

Gandhinagar, Aug 26 (IANS) The Gujarat High Court Thursday directed the family of cricketers Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan to hand over possession of a disputed property to their tenant.

The court said it will hear Pathans' plea only after they comply with a trial court's order to restore the possession of the property to the tenant, allegedly evicted forcibly May 7.

The present petition was filed by the cricketer's mother Shamimbanu Pathan challenging Vadodara Sessions Court's order which directed her to entrust the possession of a property in Tanishk Complex to tenant, Kalpana Rochani.

Rochani had filed a suit in the civil court in Vadodara over a property dispute against the Pathan family.

Justice Anant Dave Thursday said that the high court would hear Pathans' plea only after they comply with the trial court's order to hand over possession of the property to Rochani.

The matter is listed for Aug 30.
