SIO president discusses community issues with Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: SIO National President, Suhail K.K and National Secretary Shahnawaz Ali Raihan today met AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi at his residence and discussed with him several community and national issues including minority character of Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia, democracy at colleges and right to education act.
“The 30-minute-long discussion was focused on issues like creating democratic environment in college campuses, 6% GDP for education, implementing right to education act, minority status of JMI and AMU and impartial inquiry into all recent blast cases and encounters,” Shahnawaz Ali Raihan told TCN.

Suhail KK stressed for swift notification for Right to Education Act. The increased budgetary allocation for school education is totally insufficient, given the promise of universal elementary education that has been made a constitutional obligation by the Right to Education Act. The Govt should at least spend 6% of GDP on education sector, he put the demand before Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking on minority status of JMI and AMU, SIO President demanded that the Government should take right action for building the confidence of Muslim Community in India considering the fact that Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University was set up for improving educational standards of Muslims.
Sharing the feelings of lacs of Muslim youths of India that they are being targeted and hunted and kept at a psychological war, SIO leadership requested Rahul Gandhi to pressurize the Govt for an impartial inquiry into blast cases and encounters.
Rahul Gandhi also expressed his concern over educational backwardness of Muslim community, condition of Madarsa and the issue of female participation in nation building. Rahul expressed his happiness on the works done by SIO to enlighten Muslim youths to participate in nation building process.

Who is Rahul Gandhi. It shows the cowardice in genes of the Jamate Islami. Instead of talking with politicians who are in fact non-entity, SIO would do better if something new is chalked out. Whay to ask from the people who are purposefully denying the system to you. The so called ghettos are not the creation of 10 yrs NDA. It is the process which was started by the English and continues till this day. Come to terms with reality. Those who are congratulating Suhail K are in fact fools of the highest order.

Lead the society well you can by the grace of almighty god
SIO forming a political party.
It is good to have good relation with other political organisation and their leaders.But at the same time, SIO should try to form itself a political party to raise the voice of voiceless people of India.

How pity for the last many years u have been trying with these sort of media icons to get help from them to lead youth!U cant blame them who tend to think u also create some gimmickery to shackle the spirit of young muslims. please remember its time v stopped running after these good for nothing leaders and either be torch bearers of the community or leave the way for others

What in the ff.... is this guy doing appealing to Rahul Gandhi? Is Rahul the PM or Edu min or something like that of India? He is a party secretary like many party
secretaries.
And why do Muslims always beg with the government for this and that..Why cannot they be independent like many others, take advantage of all opportunities that are available than always looking for what is not there and bitching constantly.
Ask for a partition if things are that bad. If Muslims are fed up, all others are even more fed up because of this constant complaining.
How do Christians, "backward classes" and "forward poor classes" , Sikhs, JAins etc get educated? At the core, do Muslims believe in education?
