Jamia Millia teacher wins National Film Award for Best Audiography

New Delhi: Mateen Ahmad, Assistant Professor (Sound) at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia won the Award for Best Audiography for the film “Children of the Pyre” in the 56th National Film Awards for 2008.

He was honoured by Rajat Kamal and a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- by the President of India, Partibha Patil at a grand function at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on March 19, 2010. On this occasion, eminent personalities from the film industry were also present.
