For last two months TCN has been extensively covering the Bihar elections – visiting constituencies to know the issues and problems of the voters and talking to intellectuals to get their views. We provided details about Muslim-dominated seats and all seats where the community constitutes 20% or above of the local population.

Hundreds of Muslim candidates had jumped into the fray. About 100 candidates were fielded by major parties/alliances. In the outgoing assembly there were 15 Muslim members. This time almost all parties fielded more Muslim candidates. So, it will be interesting to know if the number of Muslim MLAs is increased

The six-phase election which began on 21st October (1st phase poll) ended on 20th November (6th phase). The counting of votes will take place on 24th November at 41 counting centres across the state.
