New Delhi: “Avoid provocative celebration or demonstration after the verdict of Babri Masjid-Ram Janam Bhooomi title suit,” this is the passionate plea to Muslims in India by the All Indian Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB).
Verdict of the title suit is expected in the last week of this month. In this context, the Board has said that the verdict can be either in favor or against Muslims; but Muslims should completely avoid any kind of celebratory or angry demonstration in either of the cases, as it will provide an opportunity to communal forces to disturb religious harmony in the country.
The AIMPLB has also advised Muslims not to be hopeless if the verdict is against them because the option to appeal in the Supreme Court is always open.
Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas, the convener of Babri Masjid Committee, AIMPLB, has said, “AIMPLB and several other Muslim organizations have made it completely clear that whatever the Court verdict may be, they will accept and respect that. Besides, if one goes by the land and revenue records and statements of historians and archeologists, the case is strongly in favor of Muslims.”
He demanded the Central government to announce its commitment to implement the final verdict of the Court.
He also demanded the governments in Uttar Pradesh (UP) and at the Center to take every step to ensure peace and communal harmony in period after the verdict.
“Pray, particularly in the last days of Ramadan, for a favorable verdict” he further appealed to Indian Muslims.
