Strongly raising the issue in the Upper House of Indian Parliament, CPI MP Pasha demanded the Government to take immediate steps to rehabilitate the youths and punish those investigating agency personnel who falsely implicated them.

“It is very essential that all those innocent Muslim boys who have been falsely implicated in the cases should immediately be release as the fresh FIR have been filed against certain activists. Further, the Government should take immediate steps to rehabilitate them and strong punishment should be given to those investigating agency personnel, who falsely implicated them,” Pasha said.

He said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and ATS in States have filed FIR in cases of Bomb Blasts in Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad, Malegaon, Maharashtra, Ajmer Dargah and Samjhota express implicating certain organizations and filed FIR against certain individuals.
He expressed sorrow that even after fresh FIRs against Hindutva activists, Muslim youths arrested in the same cases are not being released.

“In every case, the investigating agencies in the beginning had arrested a number of Muslim youth and claimed that they had enough evidence against these arrested Muslims. Now their claim has fallen flat after filing of other FIRs against certain terrorist organizations’ activists. It is sorry to say that the earlier arrested Muslim youth are still languishing in Jails,” Pasha said.

He expressed concern over the fact that those Muslim youths acquitted by court in terror cases have not yet got any rehabilitation package from the government.

“A few like those who were implicated in Mecca Masjid blasts have been released under court orders. But there is no move to rehabilitate those who were tortured and were booked up in false cases,” Pasha said in his speech in Rajya Sabha.

The investigation to the bomb blasts cases begins with blaming the foreign terrorists’ organizations and the axe falls on helpless Muslim youths, who are latter arrested on the suspicion of being acting and abetting the act of terrorism.

To prevent misuse of power by police he demanded implementation of Supreme Court directive on Police Complaints Authority (PAC).

“The misuse of power by Police can only be checked by implementing the Supreme Court directive on Police Complaints Authority (PAC). The states are in contempt of not implementing the six Supreme Court directives, PAC being the most important one,” Pasha said.
