The bomb was detected at Mineralniye Vody airport in Stavropol region, four km west of Mineralnye Vody town, when some construction workers were digging a pit.

“Our construction workers dug a pit and came across a bomb at a depth of about 1.5 metres at about 11 hours in the morning (Sunday) some 40-50 metres away from the takeoff and landing strip,” the press office said.
