Jammu : Pakistani troops opened heavy gunfire on Indian positions in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir Thursday evening, an army officer said.
Pakistani troops “opened unprovoked fire at our posts in the Poonch sector”, the officer told IANS.
He said that the Indian Army had not retaliated to the gunfire till about 6 p.m.
He said this was a clear violation of the November 2003 ceasefire on the Line of Control that divides Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
