Azamgarh: When the governments, state as well as Union, failed to keep up its constitutional commitment of compulsory education to children up to fourteen years of age, Madarsas have come forward to educate children. Jamiatul Falah, Azamgarh has taken the important step of opening up Al-Falah Hospital in its premises.
The hospital was formally inaugurated on 5th April, 2011. A twelve bed hospital with two private rooms, O.P.D., Pharmacy, Pathology etc, plans to hold weekly camps for the benefit of the patients. It has already organized a camp for dental care.

Dr. Kamaluddin Azhar Shaikh, who practices in Azamgarh city, has volunteered to give three hours every Sunday morning. ‘Eye care’ is the proposed future camp. At present Al-Falah Hospital has two doctors: Dr. M.A. Azmi and Dr. Mohammad Arif. A Homeopathic department is also available for catering to this alternate medicine practice. Search for a lady doctor is on, in order to open much needed Gynecology department.

In view of majority of today’s doctors who are more interested in commissions through pathological tests and indiscriminate prescriptions (excessive use of antibiotics), opening of Al-Falah Hospital by Jamiatul Falah (Madarsa) is a welcoming step..
