Lucknow: Samajwadi Party MP Brijbhushan Saran Singh and former MLA of Shiv Sena Pawan Pandey surrendered before a special CBI court which is hearing the Babri Masjid demolition case.
After their surrender, the court has slated December 24 as next hearing date. Earlier, the court has issued warrants against them. The warrants have now been recalled. The warrants were issued on December 17.
At the time of demolition of Babri Masjid, Samajwadi Party MP Brijbhushan Saran Singh was in Bhartiya Janta Party and was MP from Gonda. Presently he is MP from Qaiserganj seat on Samajwadi Party ticket.
He had crossed too Samajwadi Party during nuclear deal voting from BJP.
Pawan Pandey has been MLA on Shiv Sena ticket from Akbarpur. Presently his brother Rakesh Pandey is MP of Bahujan Samaj Party from Ambedkar Nagar seat.
