Kolkata : Five people, including two women, were killed when they were hit by the Ranchi-Howrah intercity express at Satragachi station of Howrah district Saturday, a senior railway official said.
“Five people tried to cross over from one platform to the other without using the overbridge. At the same time, the Ranchi-Howrah intercity express was passing and they were hit by the train,” said Arun Malakar, public relations officer, South Eastern Railway.
