Kuwait: Kenneth Rodrigues, principal of Indian Public School, Salmiya, and Attorney Sayid Mohamed Nizar will be the chief guests at a seminar that will discuss ‘College Ragging and Potential Loss to Parents”.
The seminar will be organized by the Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society (IKFS), a non-profit, non-religious, non-political, socio-cultural NRI Association based in Kuwait. The seminar will be held on Friday October 31 at 4:30 pm at IKFS Training Institute at Amman Street, (Opposite to Al-Rashid Hospital) Salmiya, a release said here.
During the seminar, IKFS panel will discuss and identify notorious colleges in India that have the worst suicide cases due to ragging. IKFS will then prepare a separate memorandum to be addressed to the Union Minister of Education to compulsorily put it on their prospectus that students found guilty of ragging would be criminalized for life and expelled, subject to capital punishment.
Mrs. Shahjahan Jaffery and Engineer Sayid Fadal, the IKFS executive members will coordinate the seminar, it said.
