Four IAF planes return with 540 Indians from Nepal

New Delhi : Four Indian Air Force aircraft have returned from Kathmandu with 540 stranded Indians, officials said on Sunday

More flights are planned for Sunday, the ministry of external affairs said.

External affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted: “Four flights have returned from KTM (Kathmandu) with stranded Indians. Ten flights planned for the day with personnel and relief.”

The ministry has also started a Twitter handle for the quake control room @MEAcontrolroom as well as an email [email protected]

“We have set up a handle for Control Room @MEAcontrolroom for #NepalQuake. You can tweet to the handle or email [email protected],” Swarup said.
