Popular Front’s Telangana state council elected

Hyderabad: Popular Front of India new state Telangana chapter election was held on January 20 for the 2015-2016 tenure here in the presence of E M Abdul Raheman, national vice chairman and Abdul Samad, national executive council member.

Mohammed Abdul Ahad was elected as the new state president and Syed Moinuddin was elected as the general secretary of the Telangana chapter.

In his introductory speech at the state council body meeting, Samad emphasised on the internal strengthening of the organisation and asked the members to break the limits and reach out to the common man, a release said here.

E M Abdul Raheman, in his key note speech, said Popular Front of India is continuously growing and now has become a mass movement. People of the marginalised section of the society have pinned hope on PFI to build a nation of equal rights of all, he said. “Our cadres are working hard to realize this goal. Unlike other organisations, we are not after any post. Everything depends on consultative system, fair voting and ultimately the best is selected,” he added.

He started the election process, with an open, healthy discussions followed by a fair voting. Zaheer Abbas, zonal secretary, proposed the vote of thanks, the release added.
