New Delhi: Madrasa certificates that have been granted equivalence by state education boards to that of their Secondary and Senior Secondary qualifications are now also equivalent to the corresponding certificates of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council of Board of School Education in India (COBSE) and other School Examination Boards.
This information was given to the Lok Sabha today by Vincent H. Pala, Minister of State for Minority Affairs. The minister also said that a notification to the effect was issued by the Central Government’s Department of Personnel & Training (DOP&T) on 23rd Feb. 2010.
