Irkutsk (Russia) : At least four people were killed Tuesday when an explosion sparked a fire at a chemical factory in this Siberian city in Russia, officials said.
The explosion at the Sayankkhimplast plastics factory, blamed on chemicals, occurred at 5.34 a.m. (1:34 a.m. GMT).
Sayanskkhimplast is Russia’s largest manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride resin, producing some 250,000 tonnes annually.
