Hamedan : Alisadr Cave in Hamedan province, as the world’s most fabulous water cave and one of the most beautiful natural phenomena, attracts thousands of tourists towards itself every year.

It is the only national cave turned into a tourist attraction, which annually attracts over 300,000 visitors to Hamedan province.

Alisadr Cave, is situated in Soubashi mountain in Alisadr village, 80 kms to the northwest of the provincial capital of Hamedan, near Gol Tappeh in the suburb of the provincial city of Kabudar Ahang.

The mountain, in which the exquisite cave is located, stands to the south of Alisadr village right next to it and not very tall.

The cave mouth is situated at a level lower than the mountain along one of the alleys of Alisadr Village.

Its interior is made of a great number of large and small halls connected to one another through corridors, some of which are as large as several square meters.

The waters inside the cave have joined to form a big lake, which is covering its entire floor.

The lake water has no color, while its taste and odor are normal. The water is so limpid that one can see maximum five meters into the depth of water in the faintest light.

The ceiling of the cave, which is as high as 10 meters from the level of water at some sections, is covered with a mixture of pure calcium carbonate deposits and other elements carried into the cave by the water flowing in.

The interior of the cave is quite charming. Meanwhile, the air inside it is very light and absolutely static so that if a candle is lighted, its flame does not move at all.

Not all of the channels of Alisadr Cave have yet been discovered.

Only 2,100 meters of the cave length has so far been officially identified.
