Formed days after the destruction of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on 6th December 1992 have been given extension for two more months. It was to submit its report on causes and identify people who played a role in it. Commission was to submit its report within three months.
Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification today to extend the term of the commission up to 31st October 2007.
This commission has cost India more than 60 million rupees and yet to submit its report.
