New Delhi(IANS) : After four days of evading police, the friend of an engineering student who was allegedly killed in a firing incident in Vasant Kunj here, surrendered in a city court Saturday.
Moti had been absconding since Wednesday night, when Varun Malik, a 21-year-old engineering student, was allegedly hit by a bullet when he and his three friends – Sachin, Nitin and Moti – were inspecting a gun that accidentally went off.
Soon after Moti surrendered, Metropolitan Magistrate Praveen Singh called the police who in turn sought his custody for investigation. The judge allowed Delhi Police custodial interrogation of Moti, and ordered that he be produced in court Dec 4.
Varun, a resident of Vasant Kunj, was a student of Gurgaon’s Dronacharya Engineering College.
