Bhopal : A 25-year-old boy in Indore stabbed his mother to death after she refused him the money to buy liquor, the police said Tuesday.
Mehrunisha, 55, had a scuffle with her son Manzur Ahmad Monday when he demanded money to buy liquor. When she refused, Manzur, who was already in an inebriated condition, repeatedly stabbed her with a knife in her stomach till she died.
On hearing her cries, her other children rushed to the room and attacked Manzur with the same knife. Manzur received serious injuries in the chest and stomach.
Both were then rushed to MY Hospital in Indore, where the hospital authorities declared Mehrunisha dead. Manzur died later. The woman is survived by 10 children – eight sons and two daughters.
The family members tried to misguide the police by saying that Mehrunisha received injuries after she slipped from an under construction staircase, and Manzur was injured while trying to protect her. However, the post-mortem report revealed the stab wounds.
The police have registered a case against the family members and have launched investigations.
