Kota (Rajasthan): Congress Minority cell protested statement by Rajasthan minister that Muslim and Christian Dalits should not be given reservation until they become Hindu.
“Those who convert to become Christian and Muslims will never get reservation benefit. If they want benefits of reservation, they have to become Hindu.” This was stated by the Rajasthan Social Justice minister Mr. Madan Dilawar while talking to reporters in Bhilwara on Sunday.
This prompted strong reaction from local Christians and Muslims who on Tuesday protested against the minister. They demanded action against the minister. Demonstration was lead by Congress minority cell. Mr. Nizamuddin Madda of the Congress said that Mr. Dilawar is abusing the power and prestige of his post. “In the past also he has been issuing statements that are offensive to Muslims and Christians,” said Mr. Madda.
