The previous Israeli report was 17 missiles and five civilians injured.

The spokesman said five missiles hit in Sderot while the rest hit uninhabited areas nearby.
The army had admitted to five injuries and also reported damage to nearby cars and other property.

Responsibility for the attacks was claimed by Al-Quds Brigades.

According to a group statement, Al-Quds brigades fired 14 missiles on Sderot in several attacks since early morning. The group said the attack is “the start of a series” of hits in retaliation over Israeli escalation against Palestinians.

Back to the Israeli side, Radio Israel now reports very weak vehicle traffic in Sderot since the attacks. First Aid and rescue bodies are on state of alert, it said, in Sderot as well as settlements near Gaza Strip.

The radio also said the miniature cabinet meeting planned for today might consider a military operation in Gaza Strip, similar to the one which left six Palestinians dead and 16 others injured in Rafah yesterday.
