Kiev : One miner was killed during repairs at a mine in eastern Ukraine, regional authorities said on Sunday.
The accident at the Zasyadko mine, which had been hit by three blasts in the past few weeks, occurred early on Sunday, the authorities said.
On November 18, a blast at the Zasyadko mine in the Donetsk Region, the heart of the country’s coal industry, took the lives of 101 miners, and a second explosion ripped through the mine on December 1, injuring more than 40 people. The third blast in just over two weeks ripped through the mine on December 2, killing five people and injuring 66, the regional administration said.
