At a joint press conference here, both sides underlined that there are some minor isunderstandings that should be removed to help bolster ties between the two sides.

Iran has no essential problem with Arabs, Larijani said, adding that there are some who wish to fish in troubled waters.

Iran and Arab world share many commonalties which help improve mutual ties and remove existing misunderstandings, Larijani said.

He said that it is unlikely that relations between Tehran and Cairo would be re-established in the near future and called on the two sides to exercise patience to this end.

Although a senior Egyptian official has visited Tehran and the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has voiced readiness to visit Egypt and the condition for resumption of ties seems positive, but the two sides should exercise patience, he underlined.

On recent allegations raised by Iraqi officials on cancellation of 1975 Algiers Accord between Iran and Iraq, he said this is an international document which should be respected.

Amr Musa, for his part, underlined the importance of continue talks between Iran, Arab Leagues and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) to resolve existing differences.

“Iran is one of the biggest countries in the Middle East region and we should consider it as a brotherly country. Minor differences can be resolved through mutual talks,” he said.
