Islamabad : The government of China will donate a batch of anti-malarial drugs worth Rs. 9 million to the Government of Pakistan.
The donation would help control malaria disease among the most vulnerable and marginalized strata of the society.
The signing ceremony regarding handing over medicines will be held here on Tuesday at the Ministry of Health. The handing over certificate will be signed between Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhaohui and Minister for Health Muhammad Nasir Khan.
The medicines will be distributed free of cost through the public health facilities for the poor patients of malaria in the remote areas of Balochistan, Sindh, NWFP and South Punjab.
The donation to be received by the Directorate of Malaria Control is a gift from the People’s Republic of China to express the friendly sentiments of its government and people for the government and people of Pakistan.
