Malerkotla (Punjab) : Punjab Waqf Board came under profit for the first time in 30 years. Mr. Sadique Hussain Naqvi, Managing Officer of the Board, informed in annual meeting of the board, held Saturday evening.
Razia Sultana Chairperson of Waqf Board, Chief Guest Iftekharul Hasan Gandvi and Guest of Honour Md. Mustafa IG Punjab Police addressed the function. Members, employees and all officers of the organizations running under this board, were present on this occasion.
“If all employees of the board put their sincere effort and dedication and labor hard in their work then the days are not so far when the annual income of the board will reach to 100 crores,” said Mrs Sultana, Chairperson of the board.
“We have carried the board to get it into a profitable condition today, breaking the record of 30 years, with the help of the people concerned to this board,” she added.
The Chief Guest Mufti Iftekhar-ul-Hasan said that perfect Muslim is that who serves the helpless selflessly.
Giving the detals of the expenditures Managing Member Mr Naqvi said that 41 lakhs is invested on construction of school building which is running under the Board, 12 lakhs on education related expenses, 98 lakhs on different affairs, 1 crore 22 lakhs is invested on social welfare work like widow pension and 1 crore 74 lakhs is invested on construction of religious institutions like madarsa, mosque.
