Alam Brohi, while serving as consul general in Birmingham, issued fake urgent passports to various people by collecting ordinary passport fees, costing the national exchequer over seven million Pakistani rupees, the committee was told.

He also issued 100 new passports in place of missing passports without charging any fees, which meant a loss of Pakistani rupees 982,000.
