Washington : A traffic control tower at the Miami International Airport in the south-eastern US state of Florida caught fire but there were no reports of injuries.
The tower being built would be used by American Airlines to direct arriving planes to their assigned gates, media reports said.
The tower was vacant Wednesday when it caught fire on the upper level. The fire was extinguished by firefighters. The cause of the fire was not known.
On Tuesday, a small plane crashed into two homes near Florida's Orlando International Airport, killing two people aboard and three people on the ground.
