Ranchi : A school teacher allegedly punished a student by asking him to strip inside a classroom in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur district.
Sister Cecil Reed, a teacher of St. Joseph Convent school in Mosaboni block, 170 km from here, allegedly asked Class I student Abhishek Bhakat to remove his pants four days ago, media reports here said Sunday.
When the kid followed the order, the other students were asked to say loudly "Shame! Shame!" Humiliated, Abhishek has refused to attend school.
The shocked father, Mrinal Kant Bhakat, said he asked the school management to take action. When his request was ignored, he filed a police complaint. The school principal denied that any such incident had taken place.
