Hyderabad : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) released here Thursday images of two suspects in the Makkah Masjid blasts case – one is a photograph while the other is a sketch, reports Urdu daily Etemaad here Friday.
The report says that the photograph looks like that of a man belonging to North India. "The photograph carries a word LAL written in Hindi. This may be Ram Lal or Shyam Lal or Bilal. While the sketch can be developed on the basis of statements made by eye witnesses," it adds.
The CBI has not mentioned wherefrom it got or whosoever provide them with the photograph, rues the report adding that the such a photograph can be obtained from a passport or hall ticket.
The May 18 blasts had killed nine persons and rendered 58 others injured.
The investigating agency has also announced that the person who will provide sufficient clues leading to the arrest of those involved in the said blasts will be awarded Rupees two lakh. Any information about the suspects can be given to RS Dhinkar Superintendent of Police, CBI on the 011-24677755 or 09968081240 or to Duty Officer CBI on 011-24670940, or mailed to the Superintendent of Police, CBI, Special Crime Range, 7th Floor, 111 NMDC Building, Yashwant Palace, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi – 110021 or to any local office of CBI. The CBI has pledged to maintain secrecy of the informant.
The case of Makkah Masjid blasts was first registered with Andhra Pradesh police but it was later transferred to the CBI, which started probing into the case on June 9.
