The challenges posed by militancy have to be tackled with compatible techniques and specialized training to effectively combat the menace and ensure peace and security in Pakistan, Aziz said, while chairing a high level meeting to review the country's security situation in Islamabad, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.

Police and other law enforcing agencies need to adopt a pro-active approach to effectively confront the possible future challenges, the APP quoted Aziz as saying.

Aziz stressed upon close coordination among all the law enforcing agencies as well as consultation with local leaders, Ulema (religious scholars) and civil society to develop preemptive approach, which would help initiate timely actions.
