Vendors are real business partners of BHEL: RK Singh

Bhopal : The Hydro Group in India's giant Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, (BHEL), Bhopal unit, organized a Vendors' Meet to rejuvenate unit’s relations with its Vendors.      
    
R.K. Singh, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal inaugurated the Meet whereas M.K. Dube, General Manager (Hydro) presided over the function. S.V. Pandey, General Manager (Hydro-Engg.), senior executives from Hydro Division and vendors from India and abroad participated in this Meet.
    
In his Inaugural address, Singh called the vendors as Business Partners. While quoting CEO of Delhi Metro, he said that the success of a company lies in the success of its vendors. He stressed on controlling input cost without any compromise with quality. Highlighting Country’s plan for enhancing share of hydro-electricity in power generation from 30 per cent to 40 per cent, Singh emphasized on the importance of Hydro Business and its tremendous potential.
    
Dube in his address highlighted the importance of Vendors in the present business atmosphere where customers are highly demanding and all their needs must be fulfilled. He said that keeping in view the long gestation period of Hydro Projects, demand of customers to reduce the delivery schedule is a challenge. But BHEL, Bhopal unit with the help of its vendors is making all out efforts to meet all demands of the customers to the best of their satisfaction.
    
Earlier, M.K. Malu, Addl. General Manager (MM-Hydro) welcomed the guests and said how effectively the vendors can contribute in satisfying the customers and meeting the delivery schedules.
    
In the opening session, P.K. Sinha, Sr. Dy. General Manager(MM-Hydro) also made a presentation on Standard Commercial Terms and Conditions. The programme was conducted by Nitin Khodre. ([email protected])
