Gaza : An Israeli air strike on a car wounded a traveler and four bystanders in central Gaza Strip at Monday noon, paramedics and witnesses said.
The witnesses said an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on a white Subaru car driving on Saladin road in the middle of the Gaza Strip, wounding one of the people inside the car who managed to jump out.
Mu'awia Hassanin, director and spokesman of the health ministry ambulance department, confirmed the incident, saying that the shrapnel also slightly injured four civilian people who were on the street.
Security sources said militants from the Islamic Jihad (Holy War) and Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades were inside the targeted vehicle.
Over the past week, up to five Islamic Jihad members, including a senior commander, were killed in several Israeli air raids at their cars.
The Islamic Jihad kept firing rockets into Israeli communities near Gaza while Hamas movement has scaled down such attacks after it seized control of the Gaza Strip last month.
