Kuwaiti Emir meets Mongolian leader, agreements signed

Kuwait : An official welcoming ceremony was held in Mongolia for the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who arrived here Monday on an official visit.

Sheikh Sabah was greeted by Mongolian President Nambaryn Enkhbayar, Prime Minister Miegombyn Enkhbold, and other senior officials.

Enkhbayar accompanied the Emir to the headquarters of the Mongolian government where Sheikh Sabah signed the senior visitors' guest book.

The two leaders then held talks on ways to strengthen cooperation and other issues of joint interest.
The talks yielded the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two sides.

Kuwaiti Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and director of the Mongolian president's bureau singed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Diwan and the bureau.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Finance Minister and acting Commerce and Industry Minister Bader Mishari Al-Humaidhi and Mongolian Industry and Trade Minister Tserengiin Davaadorj signed an agreement on boosting trade cooperation.

Kuwaiti Foreign Undersecretary Khalid Sulaiman Al-Jarallah and Mongolian Foreign Affairs Minister Nymaa Enkhbold also signed an agreement on boosting cultural, media, educational, scientific, and technological cooperation between the two countries.
