Lucknow : Three people received minor injuries when three "mild intensity" blasts took place within a span of 15 minutes in a busy area of Gorakhpur town in Uttar Pradesh Tuesday evening.
The blasts occurred between 7-7.15 p.m. around half a kilometre of the Gol Ghar area in the town.
State Home Secretary Chandramauli told IANS: "Three people have received minor injuries in the blasts. The blasts were of mild intensity and have not caused major damage.
"We are taking all precautions to ensure there is no panic."
He added that the blasts could be the handiwork of "mischief mongers" to incite communal violence. Investigations were on, he said.
