London : New Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos faces the prospect of legal action by Sevilla, the Spanish club’s president Jose Maria Del Nido has revealed.
Ramos quit the La Liga side last month to sign a four-year deal with the English Premier League club.
The 53-year-old, who led the Spanish club to back-to-back UEFA Cups, was under contract with Sevilla until next summer before moving to White Hart Lane.
Del Nido told the club’s website: “Juande is already a part of the past of Sevilla.
“But the fact that Juande is part of the past doesn’t mean that Sevilla will not exercise action in the relevant courts to defend its interests, with all the necessary strength that the club has.
“We will not renounce anything but that doesn’t mean that we will publish what we will do.”
